Traffic Changes at Eenhoornsingel and Brusselse Poort Starting January 6

Starting January 6, the traffic situation around Eenhoornsingel and the district Brusselse Poort will change. To improve safety around the construction site at Dr. Bakstraat and in the district Brusselse Poort, the following measures will be implemented:

  • Closure of sidewalk and bike path:
The sidewalk and bike path on the construction site side of Dr. Bakstraat, between Mercatorplein and the roundabout at Beeldsnijdersdreef, will be closed. Pedestrians can cross to the other side of Dr. Bakstraat. Cyclists will be rerouted via Mercatorplein (P4).

  • Changes to Eenhoornsingel access:
Eenhoornsingel will be closed off from Dr. Bakstraat. Construction traffic and local traffic, such as teachers of the Bonnefanten College and residents of Eenhoornsingel, will be able to access the street via Aesculaapstraat.

  • Removal of parking spaces:
Parking spaces along Aesculaapstraat and Eenhoornsingel will be removed.

  • One-way traffic:
Traffic from Aesculaapstraat will be able to continue via Eenhoornsingel towards Artsenijstraat. This part of Eenhoornsingel will become a one-way street. Please pay attention to construction traffic entering and exiting near P3.

  • Speed limit reduction:
Porceleinstraat and Dr. Bakstraat, near the construction site, will become 30 km/h zones.

We kindly ask for your understanding regarding these temporary adjustments. These measures are necessary to ensure a safe working environment and neighborhood.
